Performing Arts Center Update

Many of you know that there is a new performing arts center being constructed in Amarillo. This week I will be busy with the orchestra as we participate in the "tuning" of the concert hall. The local newspaper published a few articles about the building in today's edition. Check out the links for more about the hall and a few pictures.

It's Snowing!

Yes, to all those who balked when I packed a shovel for my move to Texas...who's laughing now? That's right, it's snowing in Amarillo. True, there is no need for a shovel yet, but there was enough snow that I had to get out the scraper for the car. Sadly, the fun white stuff is already beginning to melt...

What's with the title?

Why a gal named Sue? Well, first off...why not? Honestly, the title was loosely inspired by the Johnny Cash song, A Boy Named Sue. For many years I have been lovingly taunted by family members with the lyrics to the song. The song remains one of my favorites.

How do you do?

My name is Sue. How do you do?

Well, it's finally happened...I have caved to the mounting peer pressure of joining the technology age and have created a blog. My fairly recent move from the Midwest has made it difficult to keep up with all of my friends and family scattered across the country. Often my daily antics that ya'll may find amusing do not find their way to an email. My hope is that I'll be able to keep the blog updated so many can stop by and read of life in West Texas.

If there is something you want to hear about...let me know!
