You may have noticed a new addition to the blogroll posted on the side of my blog, The Amarillo Symphony. Yes, it's true, this week we launched a blog telling tales from inside the orchestra. Check it out if you have a spare moment or two. You can read of the staffs summer antics and our communication director's thoughts on all things symphony.

Buffalo Burgers?

This evening Bryan and I were a little adventurous with our dinner preparations. Last week when we were purchasing our groceries, we noticed a package of ground buffalo next to the ground beef. The ground buffalo was leaner than the ground beef and less expensive. Being a little adventurous we decided to try it - and tonight we did. And can I just say, MmmmMmm. Our buffalo burgers were mighty tasty. Our intent had been to grill the burgers, but the weather would not cooperate. So, we pan fried the patties with a little Kosher salt, ground pepper and garlic and voila - tasty dinner treat. I think we will try ground buffalo again.

An explanation for my blogging absence...

I apologize for my blogging absence. The trend will probably continue through the month. Tune Up and auditions make for a busy work month. Add to that fun the joy of moving across town. Yeppers, Bryan and I are moving into a house across town at the end of the month. Today I finished packing my apartment. We hope to be settled in our new digs before Labor Day. I'll try to post some pics in the coming days. In the meantime, I beg your forgiveness for my blogging absence. No fears, I'll be back!
