Two Weeks!

Have you ever seen the movie, the Money Pit? Bryan introduced me to this movie shortly after we purchased our home last fall. One of our first date nights after purchasing our home was to watch this movie.

If you are familiar with the film, you know that the common response to finishing any of the projects in the home is "two weeks!". Bryan has also taken to using this phrase when providing a timeline for completion of projects in our home.

Tonight I am excited to report that the work to complete our electrical service is finished! This particular project has been a source of frustration for Bryan and I as we have been at the mercy of multiple electricians and extremely delayed completion.

Tonight, that is a concern no more. I can finally turn on multiple lights in the bathroom, as well as the wall heater, and the fan. :) It's the little things in life.

Symphony Ball 2010

Bryan and I attended the 2010 Symphony Ball sponsored by the Amarillo Symphony Guild earlier this month. It was an opportunity to prove that every once in awhile we can clean up and look fairly decent.

The theme for this year's ball was Carnaval - Rio de Janiero. The Heritage Room at the Civic Center was festooned with bright colors and many, many feathers!
