Personal, without the need for intimacy

A thought milling in my head for the past several weeks...communications on the internet allow one to be personal, but without the intimacy. Websites, blogs, emails all seem to shriek of the intimitate details of a stranger's life. Heck, there is an entire blog dedicated to people's personal secrets.

Why the source of this vague post? Well, in the past few weeks I have read many such instances of revelation without the desire from the initiator for reaction on the part of the receiver. Screams for help that seem to block aid by the nature of the share.

Vague. Hmmm.

Perhaps such postings, revelations really are screams for help...screams in the dark...screams that hope someone will be able to break the code and offer the comfort so desperately needed.
