I made a trip to the grain elevator. Oh yes, it's true. You can't get much more country bumpkin than a trip to the grain elevator. Can you? Hold that thought, one probably can.
Why did I make a trip to the Feed & Grain store? Well, mom needed ice melt and the best ice melt can be purchasd at the feed & grain store.
The blend of ice melt sold at the Feed & Grain store is superior to traditional rock salt as it is actually fertilizer and well not burn the grass along your sidewalks. So, off I was to buy SlipNot for mom.
Yes, this is the same Feed & Grain store where I used to buy feed for my pet duck, Bob. What? You didn't know I had a pet duck named Bob? My oh my, that is a blog post for another day.

Those pictures made me homesick. I haven't seen that grain store in so many years. I remember going there to get Katey, my pet duck, food. And do you remember Kelli's goose with the broken wing that lived in the house. Ah, good times!!
I do remember all of our winged and web footed friends. Talk of Katey, Bob and Kelli's goose make me think that I need to find some pictures of the ducks and post a blog about our days as parents to ducks and geese. Stay tuned...
