Recommended Reading

On Sunday I depart for weeks of work and relaxation at Quartz Mountain in southwest Oklahoma. I'd like to have a supply of a few good summer reads to take with me. What do you recommend for those lazy summer afternoon reading sessions?

My best recommendations: The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. Sometimes you can find them at Wal-mart or Target, but mostly at Barnes & Noble. There are 5 I think in the series, and the latest is over 1100 pages. I own and have read them all. love them!
Have fun!!!

Life of Pi and Water for Elephants are both easy reads. Rosamunde Pilcher is one of my favorite authors and her books are usually several hundred pages. Let me know some books you've liked in the past and I can come up with a list.

I read The Other Bolyen Girl and now I'm reading the other book in the series. I love it!

Two of my favorie books are White Olenader by Janet Fitch and The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen. Both are beautifully written and I recommend them to anyone looking for a great read!
