Bryan says that I have been remiss in updating everyone on our home remodeling projects. Perhaps it is true. So, tonight's post features pictures provided by Bryan.
The majority of our house is currently in good working order, I'll have to post pictures from these areas later, as it seems that there are no pictures on my camera from the rest of the house. Our current area of massive renovation is our kitchen. And to be honest, it has been no small stressor. Most of the components for the kitchen are purchased and ready for installation once some major preparation has been done in the kitchen.
As long as we were working on the kitchen, we thought it would be a good opportunity to remedy some of the bigger issues in the house. So, the kitchen is currently being prepped so that we can do an overhaul of the electrical system. The house is wired with tube and knob with 6 circuits providing the service for the entire house. That might have been ok in 1950, but today we have a few more appliances that are a steady drain on electricity. Our goal is to increase to 24 breakers.
While Bryan is working on the electrical project, I'm supposed to be working on the kitchen cabinet doors in the garage. We are both making equal progress.
Here's a few shots of the kitchen in it's current condition:

While we are living in the main house (and no longer in the back house - woohoo!) we have had to improvise a kitchen. The spare bedroom was complete - so we decided to set up our kitchen in that room. We are able to prepare meals with our microwave oven and George Foreman grill. We recently dug out the crockpot hoping to expand our meal options.
