There are you happy?
Ok, what if the truth is that I am not a complete slacker - and maybe, just maybe - my lack of blog posting stems from a place of tremendous relaxation?
What?
What?
Did I just hear you laughing?
Honestly, I can hear a few of you now you are exclaiming - "Sue, relaxed? Ha! The world has stopped spinning!"
Well, that's not exactly the case, but I am a bit relaxed. Sure, I am just as busy as always, but that does not mean I can't be relaxed. What is the source of this new found relaxation?
My rockstar, well - he found us a hottub. It's true - we now have a hottub on our back patio. And might I say, the installation of the beast has certainly helped my level of relaxation. :)
Let me tell you a hottub is a nice thing for a normally stressed out girl to have on her patio. Thank you rockstar!
So, what else have I been up to? A few weekends ago I worked on some of our flowerbeds. This rental house had some beds that were overgrown with ground cover and what was once a rose bush that had evolved into some species affectionately known as thorn tree gigantus. Bryan helped me the ground cover and master of the thorn attack which left me to add some flowers. I don't have very many pictures of the beds and it is currently dark - so this will have to do. I still have one more bed in the front that I would like to change, but I think that may wait until spring - unless I am inspired to spruce up the last of the offending beds. It is pleasant to come home from work and see butterflies in the flower bed. Yikes, I am a tad domestic!

Other than that, not too much going on here. Why, I was so relaxed this evening I even took time to rescue our growing snail population from today's floods. Here is the family gathered:

After the extended family was reunited, I thought perhaps they should participate in some traditional reunion games - including a race.

Ok, fine, they are snails a race really isn't practical. What can I say - I'm a crazy girl home alone on a Saturday night in Amarillo and all I had to entertain myself was an army of snails. Crikey. Well, I should go fold some laundry.
